Terms of use
These terms apply when you use windowsbrampton.com and the free referral service Windows Brampton provides. This draft is being reviewed by a lawyer before launch.
The short version: we connect you with independent local pros. We don't do the work, set prices or give warranties. Your contract is with the pro.

What this site is, and isn't
Windows Brampton is a free referral service. You describe a window, door or glass job in Brampton or nearby, and we pass the request to an independent local pro who does that work. Pros may pay us a fee for referrals; that fee doesn't make us part of your agreement with them.
We are not a contractor, and we are not a government, City or utility program. No one from Windows Brampton will knock on your door, come to your home or ask you to pay us.
The pros are independent
The pro we match you with runs their own business. They are not our employees, agents or subcontractors, and we don't supervise their work. They are responsible for their own licences, insurance, permits where needed, safety on site and cleanup. The City of Brampton licenses building renovators under its business licensing by-law; ask the pro whether they hold it.
Quotes, contracts and work are between you and the pro
- The pro sets the price, scope, materials and schedule.
- The contract you sign is with the pro. We aren't a party to it and can't change it.
- We can't guarantee that a pro will be available, will quote, or will finish by a given date. We do follow up when a request goes quiet.
Before work starts, ask for a signed, written quote that itemizes the price, the work, the warranty and a completion date. If you sign a contract in your home, Ontario's consumer protection rules generally give you a cooling-off period; read the province's guidance before you sign.
Work, warranties and who is responsible
The pro is responsible for the work they do and for honouring their own warranty. Product warranties come from the maker. Windows Brampton gives no warranty on any work or product. If a pro stops answering about a warranty problem, let us know. We have no power to enforce their warranty, but we will raise it with them.
Content is general information, not code or legal advice
The pages on this site describe window, door and glass problems in general terms; only a pro who sees the job can say what it needs. Code, permit, rebate and licensing rules change. Where we describe them, we link to the official source, and the source is what counts.
This matters most for basement units. Whether a second unit or two-unit dwelling is legal, and what its windows must meet, is decided by the City of Brampton, not by us or by the pro. Our basement unit window guide explains the steps and points to the City's pages. In Bolton and Georgetown, the Town of Caledon or the Town of Halton Hills sets the rules.
Using the site
Give accurate information. Send requests only for property you own or manage, a unit you rent with the owner's agreement, or a family member's home with their agreement. Don't upload anything unlawful, or another person's private information without their consent. We may turn down or delete a request that misuses the service.
Liability, changes and governing law
To the extent the law permits, Windows Brampton has no liability for any pro's work, products, prices, delays or conduct, or for loss arising from your dealings with a pro. We provide the site as it is and can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. These terms don't take away any right that Ontario consumer protection law says can't be waived.
We may update these terms and will post each new version here with its date. The laws of Ontario, and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, govern these terms. Our privacy policy covers what you send us, how it works and the FAQ answer common questions, and the contact page is the place for questions about these terms.
